Training Classes:

Beginner classes offer positive reinforcement-based methods through shaping and conditioning.  We will learn the basics, including sit, down, stay and loose-leash walking.  Additional focus will address behavioral issues.

Additional Information:

Urban Paws’ four-week, one-hour classes will teach you and your dog the basics. Instruction starts the first day so bring your dog and be ready to learn!

FEE:  $75 for four one-hour classes.  Fee includes a handbook and Certificate of Completion.

CLASS CAPACITY:  eight students / eight dogs  (Please only one dog per handler.)

COURSE PREREQUISTES:  Your dog must be socialized and able to work around other dogs.
All vaccinations must be up-to-date.
Wear comfortable clothing with flat-heeled, rubber-soled shoes.
Your dog should have a flat collar (no choke or prong collars) and a 5-6 foot lead (no flexi-leashes).
For maximum attentiveness, bring a hungry dog with lots of his or her favorite treats cut into small, easy-to-swallow pieces (preferably not crunchy).
